This is strictly my opinion so don't take this as fact, but I'm not sure adjusting the valves is something that has to be performed according the the manual. To be honest here, I've only adjusted the valves twice. I had it done at break-in (600 mi) and I did it myself at 18K. I just turned over 35k and don't hear valve clatter at all. I actually had a mechanic tell me that once an engine gets broken in, it's better not to touch the valve adjusters as they are seated just right as long as you don't hear noise.
